Let me tell you a little colour realization…
Whoever the heck told me that blue on blue does /not/ go WAS WRONG.
My whole life thinking that I couldn’t put blue on blue together because it just doesn’t go??
Before I show you the end result, a little background:
Jess whipped me up an Instagram DM one day (#moderndayinquiries) including the words:
“…I have like one nice pic of myself and need to up my game ?”
She was in the midst of updating her entire website and was looking to elevate her brand images to match it all together! What I love most about Brand Portraits is that when you invest into yourself + your business, it has 3 instant benefits:
- You are active with fresh content OF YOU
– Your audience will see something new and be able to connect to who YOU are! - Shows growth + clarity in brand
– You evolve as your business evolves, so updating your images shows that instantly - Elevates your overall image as a professional
– Prospective clients will most always choose based off good experience but also based off trust on IMAGE.
You’re a professional, so should be your own portraits~ Read more on The Importance of Brand Photography.
I send all my Personal Brand clients a questionnaire so I am 100% clear on who they are as a person and brand. This is how each shoot is so different from each other and personalized! Jess added this at the end of our questionnaire which got the ideas brewing:
I had just finished up a photoshoot with Chadi Mansi where we used a full-colour dark green backdrop, and was hoping to experiment again… SO THE CHANCE AROSE!
The magic starts with an idea and it comes to life with energy!! I couldn’t wait to see how we could make a colour co-ordinated scene together. Did I mention we even got a Makeup Artist involved? The possibilities are endless (and I HELP you, I’ll get it organized for ya)
This was the moodboard I created to pump us up and stay true to vision:
Yeah. And we did it. Now I’m going to SHOW you what happens with some good planning + just being YOU~ Look at these portraits…
