New York City runs on time and time is money. Here’s a 15 minute photoshoot in Brooklyn, NYC!
You’ll hear from everyone in the big city that making friends can be tough. People are busy with their own schedules and then SLEEP (and gosh I wish I had more sleeping time ?) But despite the odds I set out to find me a friend in this concrete city with 8.5 million humans.
The task started with research. Where would I go?? Couchsurf is an app my new Amsterdam friend Mira showed me (thanks~!) where you can request to stay at people’s places around the world on a couch, mattress, floor, you name it. I find it handy to get to know locals since you can narrow down your search quite well… which is how this lady Elizabeth came into inbox. She was the first and only person I messaged (so proud) to see if she wanted to catch up and hang out, and she said yes!!

Now whenever I am introduced to her new friends she says we met on the internet ? It’s funnier when you hear it in person I promise. Elizabeth is learning to become a sommelier (basically a wine GENIUS) which helps me because the only words I know how to describe wine is “Smoky, Full-bodied and Smooth” and I don’t even think they’re all supposed to go together.
She just moved to Brooklyn, NYC and of course I was honoured to take her new home portraits!! We only had limited time because we’re chatters oops and it was SWEATY this day + on her way to work as the MaĆ®tre d’ at Niche Niche, a super cool restaurant and champagne bar. Visit her!!
And just imagine… you… me… and NYC photos. Send me a msg ???
